Google has announced that Android gets new accessibility features in line with Global Accessibility Awareness Day. While action Blocks will let you create new big customized buttons for complex actions. These actions may include playing music or calling someone. 

Such tasks were difficult for people with a cognitive disability. Google is also going to add more features to Live Transcribe. While will include better navigation to the voice access and also Bluetooth support to amplify the sound. These features will be very important for a person with a certain disability. 

Once you have downloaded the action block app you can choose the predefined actions. while you also have the ability to type in your own actions. It will also work through the voice assistant of Google aka google assistant. You can give directions in your voice too. Once it starts working you can also save it as a button on your home screen. The app also gives you the ability to put your custom picture on it.  

This will definitely help people to achieve certain tasks on their phone. However, it would not support Google Assistant Connect so far. In future updates, it might provide support.

Google Live Transcribe

One of the most useful Android features is live Transcribe. It can automatically transcribe the speech into text. It also supports more than one language. AI capability of the will let you train the app by speaking the word loud. This will help you add to set specific words which will be hard to transcribe by the google engine.

You can save transcriptions locally and you will also have the ability to search with keywords. However, this time transcriptions will be sent to a cloud-based memory but it will not be saved there instead of saving only on the phone.

One of the interesting features is that you can set your name as a keyword. When the phone will hear your name it will vibrate. This feature will be very useful for people with hearing issues. 

Android Sound Amplify

This feature allows users to amplify the sound of their phone. While this feature will also help to improve sound clarity. It is important to note that such a feature cannot replace a special hearing aid but it seems useful.

Major Flaw removed

Until now one major flaw in the feature that it only works with wired headphones. This is a huge problem as a growing number of new phones do not have a headphone jack. Finally, Google solved this issue and now the feature will support Bluetooth support. 

Google Maps

Wheelchair access will be visible right away on Google maps on both Android and IOS. Previously the user had to tap into the location details to get the required information. The new feature on the maps will show all types of details like bathrooms, seating areas and also the parking areas.
