England vs Pakistan Series dates announced
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has released the schedule for a series of 3 Tests and 3 T20 matches against Pakistan. The Pakistan cricket team will play matches against England in Manchester and Southampton between August 5 and September 1.
According to the ECB, the three-Test series between Pakistan and England will start on August 5 with the first Test at Manchester’s Old Trafford. After the Manchester Test, the teams will leave for Southampton where the second Test will start on August 13 and the third Test on August 21.
After playing two Test matches in Southampton, Pakistan and England will return to Manchester for a series of three T20 matches.
The T20 matches in Manchester will be played on August 28, August 30 and September 1. The first and third T20 will be day-night while the second T20 will be completed during the day.
The Pakistan cricket team has already reached England for the series and is currently in Worcester for initial quarantine and training from where the team will leave for Derby on July 13. In Derby, Pakistan cricket team will conduct formal training in which two inter-squad four-day matches will be played. Will also be played.
According to the English Cricket Board, all these matches will be played in a bio-secure environment without crowds.
Before the series against Pakistan, the English team will also play a series against the West Indies and Ireland.
Tom Harrison, chief executive officer of the English Cricket Board, said the ECB was grateful to the Irish and West Indian authorities, including the Pakistan Cricket Board, Pakistani cricketers and support staff, for their role in reviving cricket in England.
