Series with Zimbabwe, Pakistan will benefit from the English experience
Pakistan will benefit from the English experience in the series against Zimbabwe while ensuring a bio-secure environment, the PCB is hopeful of hosting in October.
In a British Asian Trust webinar, Wasim Khan said that the Zimbabwean team would arrive in Pakistan in mid-October for the 3 T20 and the same number of ODIs as scheduled. Will be called ahead of time, the series will start in the first week of November, we are hopeful that the Zimbabwean team will add colour to the field of Pakistan.
The chief executive said the PCB was also preparing to launch domestic cricket with it, taking advantage of England’s successful experience in ensuring a bio-secure environment in series and national competitions against Zimbabwe.
It may be recalled that the Zimbabwean Board is awaiting permission from its government for the tour of Pakistan. He termed the assumptions regarding security in Pakistan as wrong and said that the situation has improved a lot. There were 37 foreign cricketers in different teams during PSL this year. I would ask the world to ask the players How was the experience of staying in Pakistan?
The chief executive said that everything was stopped due to the coronavirus, in which case the return of cricket was also important. Sending a team to England was not an easy decision. When the tests of 10 players came positive, there was a lot of pressure. We are happy to have played our part in the revival of international cricket.
